Craig Doyle reveals which Corr sister left him breathless
Craig and co-host Alison Hammond had one half of The Corrs on their show today as the Irish group promoted a ‘Best of’ album
CRAIG Doyle left Andrea and Caroline Corr of The Corrs gobsmacked today when he appears to have got his arithmetic confused over his secret crush on their sister Sharon.
“Can I tell you a little secret? “ Dubliner Craig told the curious Dundalk duo on ITV’s This Morning show earlier today.
“As a 15-year-old boy in Ireland I took up the bassoon to try and go out with your sister Sharon.”
As Andrea cracked up laughing, a bemused Caroline asked: “Is Sharon aware of this, at all?.”
Craig replied matter of factly: ”She is now.”
He added: “The same teacher said ‘you’re not good enough’, and it never happened.”
Andrea butted in with a smile: “And it didn’t work. Was she even aware?.”
To which Craig repeated, “Eh, she is now….I was young and in love.”
But while Craig and Sharon are of similar age – he’s 52 and she’s 53 – it seems hugely unlikely he would have ever known of her as a teenager.

That’s because while growing up in Kilmacud in south Dublin Craig would have been aged 15 in 1985 (he was born on December 17 1970) , when in fact The Corrs did not begin as a band until five years later, in 1990.

Asked by Craig what her favourite track is, Andrea confirmed: “Runaway is always special.”
When Alison asked if it ever gets boring being part of a group of siblings, Andrea remarked: “Yeah, I don’t think it ever gets boring. It gets interesting, it gets strange (as she flickered her fingers).
“But yeah, we’ve managed to do it for a number of years. It doesn’t get boring.”
