Shock as well-known woman (70s) drowns while rescuing sheep in Co Kerry

There is widespread shock in Kerry following the death of a woman in a tragic accident this morning, Friday December 1.
The woman, who is understood to be in her early 70’s, is believed to have drowned rescuing a sheep from the river near their farm in the Gap of Dunloe.
The woman is extremely well-known in the rural community where she lives.
The accident occurred close to Lord Brandon’s cottage.
