Tallaght woman admits sharing picture of Ana Kriégel’s teen killer on Facebook

A woman is to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Court next February after she admitted sharing a photo online of one of the two boys who murdered 14-year-old Ana Kriégel.
Leeanda Farrelly (49) pleaded guilty on Wednesday to publishing a photo on Facebook on June 19, 2019, of the teenager known as 'Boy A' that was likely to lead to his identification.
On May 14, 2018, two 13-year-olds lured Ana Kriégel to a derelict farmhouse in Lucan, Co Dublin where she was beaten to death.
They were both convicted of murder following a trial during which they were referred to as 'Boy A' and 'Boy B'.

Farrelly, with an address at Kilmartin Avenue in Tallaght, will be sentenced next February 22.
There are restrictions under the Children's Act that prevent the identification of child offenders. These include that no picture shall be published or broadcast of any child concerned in the proceedings or which is likely to lead to their identification.
